Untitled: Shabhu

Painter Shabbu’s mural on a Delhi Rain Basera forms part of St+art India Foundation’s early interventions with the city’s night shelters, bringing colour and visual expression to a space often overlooked within the urban landscape. Created as part of St+art Delhi’s engagement with the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, the work reflects the foundation’s approach of using art to make everyday public spaces more welcoming and visible. By bringing an artist into a shelter serving people without permanent homes, the intervention shifted attention towards a part of the city that often remains out of sight, while opening up a different relationship between art, civic infrastructure and its users.
