Untitled: DO
by Do
Do’s mural at Kashmere Gate, Delhi, offers a vivid portrait of the city through the everyday movement of people, goods and stories. Painted on a 1,238 sq ft wall at Eldeco Junction beside Kashmere Gate Metro Station, the work brings together travellers, vendors, families, food stalls, luggage and local details within a dreamlike urban landscape. Drawing from Kashmere Gate’s position as a historic gateway between Old Delhi and the wider city, Do juxtaposes the energy of the present with architectural and landscape references to the past, including an imagined route towards Kashmir. The artist’s contextual approach, grounded in observing the character of a place and its people, turns the busy transit hub into a moment of pause and reflection on Delhi’s constantly changing urban life.
