Untitled: Lekha

Lekha Shastry’s mural at Kannagi Art District, Chennai, transforms the façade into a vivid, dreamlike composition of colour, figures and imagined landscapes. Drawing from her visual language of Indian folklore, miniature traditions and surreal storytelling, Shastry brings together playful forms and lyrical details at an architectural scale. Created for St+art India Foundation in association with Asian Paints, the work extends the artist’s practice of translating the intimacy and detail of miniature-inspired imagery into immersive public spaces, making the artwork accessible as part of the everyday landscape of Kannagi Nagar.
