In 2017, a resident of this housing society came across the Donate-a-Wall ad in the newspaper. He’d lived here for as long as he could remember. His father was one of the founding members of the society.

He brought the idea to the community. The proposal was about recognising a kind of continuity, the idea that these homes were built and sustained by one generation, and now lived in by another.

This mural by Do (@dostreetart) & Khatra (@bykhatra) responds to that idea. A young girl with a backpack faces an older man holding a gift behind his back. They stand across the building’s split wall, connected by an unspoken exchange.
