Sid & Pranav: Arjangarh
by Do&Khatra
As part of St+art India Foundation and Asian Paints’ Art Stations project, Arjangarh Metro Station was transformed into a large-scale public artwork inspired by the flora and fauna of the Delhi region. The intervention brought together artists from India, Singapore and Mexico, including Nilesh, Senkoe, Sam Lo and Soph O, to create murals featuring indigenous birds, animals and plant life across the station’s exterior, interiors and connecting spaces. Conceived with DMRC as a way of turning everyday transit infrastructure into an accessible gallery, the project used the station’s architecture as a canvas while drawing attention to the natural landscape of the Delhi Ridge and the relationship between the city and its surrounding ecology.
