Tribute to Ahmedabad

by DO

The Donate-A-Wall Initiative in Ahmedabad, a collaboration between Asian Paints and St+art India Foundation, transformed the boundary wall of the National Institute of Design (NID) into a mural celebrating Ahmedabad’s cultural heritage and modern spirit. The mural integrates traditional motifs, textile patterns, and architectural elements like Ellis Bridge and Sidi Saiyad ni Jali to highlight the city’s historical significance. Abstract representations of innovation and technology reflect Ahmedabad’s advancements, while intertwining forms and diverse colors represent the unity and diversity of its communities. Executed by artist Nikunj Prajapati (DO), the mural bridges the city’s past and present, enriching the urban landscape with an artwork that invites residents and visitors to engage with Ahmedabad’s evolving identity.
