These Rock Pigeons Chose the Trees by Adele Renault

by Adele Renault

Adele Renault (1988) is a Belgian painter known for realistic portraits on both small canvases and large murals. Influenced by classical paintings, she explores portraiture in street art, focusing on the beauty of everyday subjects like the elderly, homeless, and pigeons, all in a hyper-realistic style.

Renault has showcased her work at events like Urban Nation Berlin and Lollapalooza and co-founded Unruly Gallery in Amsterdam with Niels Shoeman.

Her murals often feature pigeons, capturing their quiet grace and life force with photo-realistic simplicity. In Lodhi Colony, she enlarged a pigeon, highlighting its intricate features and majestic hues, creating a poetic fusion with the area's architecture and greenery.
