Terracotta
by Tellas
Tellas (1985) grew up in Sardinia, Italy, and is a visual artist focused on non-urban aesthetics. His art offers an organic and intimate vision of natural landscapes through abstract compositions, using soft color palettes and gradients. His work spans various mediums, including large walls, posters, canvases, and site-specific installations.
He has participated in international festivals like Artmosphere 2012, ALTrove, and Street Art Agliana, collaborating with contemporary artists. Tellas’ mural ‘Terracotta’ uses the color of earthenware clay, a material deeply rooted in art history and Indian heritage, to evoke organic unity and nature amid New Delhi's bustling streets. He reflected on the contrast between the city's peaceful parks and busy streets, describing his mural as softening this dichotomy with sunrise colors and tree branches, connecting nature and architecture.
