Sport Doesn’t Care - St+art Court

by Khatra

On International Women’s Day 2020, St+art India Foundation, Adidas Originals, and Asian Paints launched an urban art project at St. Andrews College, Mumbai. This St+art Courts initiative celebrated sports inclusivity with a mural by New Delhi artist Khatra.

Khatra’s mural, with the message “Girls = Boys” in vibrant pink and blue, challenged gender color stereotypes, emphasizing equality in color and sport. The artwork encouraged moving beyond societal labels.

The design featured Khatra’s clean typography and abstract forms, with “Sport Doesn’t Care” stenciled on the court, highlighting that skill and effort are what matter in sports.

This initiative aimed to revitalize sports spaces with urban art. The transformed court at St. Andrews College promotes sportsmanship, inclusivity, and community, symbolizing equality and inspiring all genders to engage equally in sports.
