Plastic Ocean

by Tan Zi X

As part of an exhibition with Singapore Art Museum, Zi Xi debuted her work, Plastic Ocean. This immersive installation invited the viewer into a room that creates a floating effect of an ocean with the aid of tons of plastic. “It was amazing to me how over here, I could easily buy and recycle the plastic from Dharavi, while it was very difficult to source it back in Singapore”, explains the artist.
