Majestic Metro Station

Sameer Kulavoor worked on the outer walls of the metro station. To encapsulate the surroundings, he along with the local children went on a recce of the area to incorporate the local culture into his work. On encountering the local market an important source for the local communities for taking care of their daily household needs. His work base on the Majestic market, depicts two big magnets drawing in people, objects, vehicles, words and therefore creating chaos like the market and the metro station. 'The magnet is symbolic of the site and how it attracts a wide range of people for different reasons, be it commerce, culture or chaos. The density of people, architecture and things reduce as we move further away from the site itself.
