Jungle Lock down
by Zero
The pandemic highlights our flawed relationship with nature. In the Lodhi Art District, ZERO explores this theme through a composition where the facade's central arch divides two narratives. One side depicts a concrete jungle with a man wearing a fox mask, symbolising the isolation felt during lockdowns, akin to animals caged in zoos. On the other side, a woman thrives in nature, surrounded by monkeys, sparrows, and butterflies. With reduced human activity, nature rejuvenates, restoring balance with blooming flowers and a clear sky.
The artwork envisions ‘The Garden of Eden’ as nature reclaims lost space, teaching us about healing and rebuilding. The man in the city clings to a plant, hoping for a similar future.
