Facing Walls
by Bicicleta Sem Freio
Douglas de Castro and Renato Reno are part of Bicicleta sem Freio, a Brazilian design and illustration collective known for their exploration of typography, colors, shapes, and a unique sense of humor. They have participated in urban art festivals like Coachella and Pow! Wow!
This time, the duo worked individually on two walls for Lodhi Art District, showcasing their love for color by interpreting local Indian flora and fauna. The vibrant walls blend with the surroundings, featuring psychedelic colors and flowing forms. Douglas, inspired by Delhi's parks and gardens, depicted various leaves and flowers, incorporating the motif of hands seen throughout the city. Renato focused on the Oriental Pied Hornbill, with a dynamic flow of shapes emerging to embrace the bird, creating an engaging scene.
