A Place in Ukkadam

by Avinash Kumar

Avinash Kumar’s unfinished mural employs anamorphic techniques to create a surreal gateway, inviting viewers to look beyond the wall. The artwork highlights the adaptability of relocated communities, celebrating how individuals find belonging within constrained spaces. The mural, paused due to the pandemic, stands as a testament to resilience and the artist’s commitment to complete his vision alongside the enduring spirit of the Ukkadam community.
