Mahim (E) Art District

Organised in association with the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, St+art India Foundation continued its effort to establish India’s second public art district: Mahim E Art District.

Started in November 2018, this ongoing project featured, between December 2018 and January 2019, six internationally and nationally renowned artists who contributed their unique works to establish and expand the art district as the first worldwide “public art gallery of the everyman”.

Mahim (E), encapsulated in the larger area of Dharavi, is the symbol of the richness in diversity, of people coming together from different regions and upbringings, and their spirit of community relates to everyone, in and outside of India. From the illustrative style of Millo to the monochromatic hyperrealism of Guido, Urban art masters celebrated positive values of community, diversity and life.
